New togs!

After two and a chunk years locked away from real life it is so good to be out and about again. Sure I had a few forays last summer to my little beach house with my ma in law, my sister and a good friend but I didn’t really mix with the outside world and we were all masked up. I also took a trip with my other half , sister and bro in law to Cadaques which was fab after being in prison for so long. However, this year it seems we are opening up for real!

Unfortunately, one of my favourite stores was the victim of the pandemic and shut down its high street outlet in Girona, booooo!! To be fair of late ie before the world shut up shop it had gone a bit downhill in my honest opinion. Too many flowery frocks and not enough plain and basic staples with a twist. There always used to be a twist. One of my favourite dresses ever is a khaki number that fastens with poppers down the front has a sort of army and navy feel to it and a gathered elasticated hem which sat just at the knee. Great as a dress, as a top over cropped or long leggings, open over a long sleeved top like a gilet type waistcoat. Sadly it has seen  better days. They have an online store but nah its not the same. I have found another onliner that has similar and have just received my first batch of new clothes in two years!

Up at numero uno is in my trademark black and white, a big baggy overshirt dress in a large black and white check, sleeves roll up and clip. Teamed this with a black vest t shirt dress, some cropped capri leggings and a pair of Skechers On the Go 600 sandals. Skechers and Rocket Dog are my favourite flat footwear brands, not too pricey and really, really comfy on the feet.

Not wanting to be too monochrome I treated myself to three big dolman sleeved long tshirt tops, a khaki dalmation print, a leopard print (another trademark of mine) and a black and grey stripe.  Also to add to the mix khaki capris, leopard print pumps and grey washed canvas slip ons.

As you would expect I already have a few black tops which will go with the khaki capris as well as two big balloon sweat tops one in black and one in khaki both with big sparkly stars on the front, side pockets and Japanese style red patch visible logo labels.

Along with Lagenlook linen sleeveless midi desses in wheat, black and grey from last season.  I also bought a beach bag full of new cossies last season which will be fine for another outing, now I just need a couple of cover ups that will go from beach to evening and we are sorted. When I’ve found what I’m looking for I’ll share an update. Got our first holiday since this whole shebang started coming up at the beginning of June. Now I just need to plan where we should go. Any suggestions?
