Schools are back is it too early to talk about Christmas?

Collage_FotorI only mention it because I organise the Church Christmas Fair here in the Costa Brava and I started designing the posters and planning craft workshops way back in August!

With my crafty head on I found lots of lovely creations on Pinterest to inspire my own ideas. [Sources for each of the above images can be found at the end of the post] I’ve used a letter set for lots of different projects and impressed clay with doilies and lace, you don’t need a tutorial to make your own just experiment. I’ve also used Sharpie pens to highlight letters and draw on dried clay. Tags and decorations are not just for Christmas so will be looking to make some all year round bits and bobs for my own stall.

I even found a leftover pack of air dry clay from last year so maybe time for a little experimentation. Any of the online tutorials for making clay tags work with airdry, oven bake or make your own salt dough. Salt dough must be sealed with an acrylic paint, varnish or pva (modge podge) to stop it from going mouldy when you store it. Here’s a quick easy salt dough recipe.
