The Pop-Up Artisan Market is a whole new venture. An online space for creative businesses based here in the Costa Brava to promote and sell their work to a wider audience. Particularly during these difficult times when the usual places like Arts and Crafts Markets and Events are cancelled and people who would normally buy their unique and original pieces for themselves, their friends and their families from independent traders have few means of seeking them out. Its been running since November last year and we are gradually building a following and adding to our traders all the time. Do get in touch if you think this is for you!

Tea and Cosy what could be better?

These are my latest charity shop finds just waiting to be given a wash and brush up, packed with a homemade biscuit or two and some tempting quality tea. What is missing? Aaah the cosy!

Last year I became quite addicted to crocheted cosies. I didn’t follow any patterns I just took a teapot and chain stitched around the base to get the size then increased and decreased from there until I had a cover. Then I went bonkers with the decoration whether it was crochet flowers stitched on or embroidered with wool scraps. You can see last years efforts (which sold out btw on my Christmas Stall) on this blog post.

This year I have a collection of 14 teapots waiting to be wrapped up and with my brand spanking new sewing machine I thought I would have a go at sewing cosies. There are lots of inspirations on Pinterest these are my favourites.

Should you be sew inclined I have found a good beginners tutorial that you might want to look at and give them a go if you fancy your hand at making your own work of tea cosy art from The Seasoned Homemaker .
