The Pop-Up Artisan Market

As a creative person I have found it increasingly frustrating that there are so few opportunities here to offer my work to the general public and connect with other like-minded people. This year with those few events and markets I would usually be involved in being closed due to the pandemic and lockdowns the outlets are non-existent. I would normally now be in the midst of finalising the English Christmas Fair in Corca and preparing my own work for sale so I was looking for some kind of inspiration. Then it came to me after seeing an online Festive event being promoted that this could be an opportunity to build something more permanent and fruitful.

Like Tom Cruise I had a decision to make – my mission, if I chose to accept it, was to build an online community of creative businesses and individuals to promote their talent, work, products and services to a wider audience. No biggie, ha! I also thought it might be very nice whilst I am locked away in my “bubble” to connect with like minded people.

A Business Directory with a sum total of two, like I said early days! Myself and a lovely creative business, Handmade Aruba Designs who make gorgeous things from Harris Tweed, leather, luxury and vintage fabrics. There are also half a dozen others preparing their entries to get on board, some of them will offer services too. So it will be a place of diversity and choice.

The Category Albums are ready and waiting for lots of great work and products.

Our first Event (I hope!) will be an online Pop-Up Christmas Fair at the end of November.
